Lust for Freedom (1987) - Eric Louzil

Without Lust for Freedom there would probably not be any Torbovision! Almost exactly one year ago we were bored and decided to watch some shit together on IRC. Luckily this movie came up first and didn't blow. For the grand jubilee we did a rewatch and it turned out it was as good as ever! A bunch of southern gentlemen have figured out that they can make tons of cash by arresting chicks at random and make snuff flicks. Sadly/luckily our protagonist soon finds herself in the clutches of the vicious wardens. Lust for Freedom is an ultracheesy woman in prison flick, set to the music of Grim Reaper. It might be more correct to say that it is set to Grim Reapers two tracks "Lust for Freedom" and "Rock you to Hell", and that both are repeated again and again. At one point they just restart "Rock you to Hell" from the beginning every time there's a change of scene. Furthermore, Lust for Freedom might be the most narrated film ever made, with the bored-looking protagonist chiming in on every single occurrence onscreen. Features an excellent gallery of characters, including my favorite: Judd the raping indian. What a find this was!

Human Experiments (1979) - Gregory Goodell

After strolling into a crime scene, talentless singer, Rachel is thrown in jail for life. "Human Experiments" is a fine example of how bland American WIP-flicks usually are - especially when compared to their Italian counterparts. I think it might be humanly impossible to care about anything happening in this film. There's a couple of bugs attacking a chick or something at one point, but that's about it. Mind-numblingly boring.

Women Behind Bars (1975) - Jess Franco

I like Franco for being a perv, but this flick was pretty fucking dull. Some diamonds have been stolen, some dudes are killed and a chick ends up in jail with electrodes in her vagina because of it. It was all according to plan or something though, I wasn't really paying much attention after a while. The cameraman can barely keep the camera aimed towards the faces during dialogue and has a tendency to drift off towards the chest or groin region constantly. Towards the end of the film, one of the characters states that murders were committed, before he poses the question: "but who were the victims?" The answer is of course: "Anyone who bothered sitting through the entirety of this awful film".

The Beast in Heat (1977) - Luigi Batzella

The female Dr. Kratsch has created a mutant rape-caveman! This benefits the war efforts of the Third Reich somehow and the rape and torture commences. Salvatore Baccaro was born to play the Beast, and no other actor could have done the scene where the beast eats pubic hair, more convincingly. Luigi Batzella's most well-known nazisploitation flick, the other one being "Achtung! The Desert Tigers" starring Richard Harrison (which I hear is godawful)!

Love Camp 7 (1969) - Lee Frost

Two women are being smuggled into a concentration camp to find information about a scientist held in the camp. They soon realize the SS are a bunch of pervy bastards. One of the earlier nazisploitation flicks, predating the wave of Italian filth by a few years. "Love Camp 7" still manages to be utterly tasteless and speculative though. It's something about directors using the holocaust as an excuse to show a bit of skin, that just boggles my mind. Expect the usual nazisploitation fare.

SS Experiment Love Camp (1976) - Sergio Garrone

During the last days of the war a nazi commandant searches for a new pair of testicles! Features the usual stuff you can expect from Italian nazisploitation: torture, rapes, murders, passionate love, etc. Questionable smut from the hands of Sergio Garrone! Yey!

The Gestapo's Last Orgy (1977) - Cesare Canevari

Some of the nazisploitation flicks out there are basically ordinary WIP flicks with nazi-uniforms tacked on. This film is not one of those though, and somehow still manages to stay all kinds of offensive. This film has tons of murders and rapes, nazis eating jewish babies (!) and an utterly moronic plot. I keep getting entertained by how inane the dialogue is in these flicks and the fact that they actually bothered to write a plot for this smutfest. Also, excellent soundtrack ("Liseeeee!").
